First blog post:)

Well, here it goes!! I am very excited to be starting this blog/website or whatever you want to call it:) It has taken a lot of prayer, strength, and courage to get to this point, but I am so happy I did. I have sat here for hours and days trying to find the right words to start this, what to say, and how to begin explaining my never-ending thoughts. I will be honest, it’s a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. As I sit here still trying to figure it out, I am coming to the realization that it doesn’t really matter. It doesn’t need to be perfect. I simply just need to begin writing and let God speak through me. Because after all, that is my one and only purpose for this. To point me and you back to Christ. It’s all about Him, never about us. So yes, it’s going to be hard and messy and maybe all over the place sometimes, but I believe sharing the good news of our Heavenly Father will always be worth all of it. This life is a constant battle, and we can’t fight it alone. I’m just here to hopefully gain the courage to share my story with you one day in hopes that it will give someone the strength to keep moving forward just like I have learned to do. But most importantly, I’m here to shine His light and glorify His name only. With each new day, Jesus is turning my wailing into dancing and teaching my feet to dance upon disappointment. No matter the circumstance, no matter the pain, and no matter the fear. He is teaching me to climb my mountain with hands wide open and fully surrendered to Him. Jesus died for us knowing we might not ever want Him, and that is a love I will live for. That’s a love I will never stop living for. So I pray that my words will reach someone out there who desperately needs to hear them. Because if my words and experience can help even just ONE person, then God has been glorified and that is more than I could ever ask for. Here’s to sharing my song of ascent and letting go of fear over and over again every day. Thank you for being here, it means more to me than you’ll ever know<33

P.S. The definition of “ascent” is “a climb or walk to the summit of a mountain or hill” :):) So here’s to OUR song of ascent, because we weren’t meant to climb alone!!
